Summary

Okayyy really liked this book。 I loved the plot, the pacing and the characters。 The banter that olive and adam have is top notch and it’s cute and it’s funny and hehe。 It’s just that the spice was underwhelming for me and I really expected the ending to be more romantic instead of just skipping ahead to epilogue ig。 But overal still really enjoyed this book。

Ughhh, I am the unpopular opinion on this one but no just no。 This is not worth the hype。 It is not sensational at all。 The romance is cringe and is one of the most common tropes in romance。 There are so many other fake dating books that are done Better than this。 I don’t want to be too harsh because obviously someone put their love and heart into writing this and it’s not that it’s the worst thing ever written, it just doesn’t deserve the level of hype and accolade it gets。 It’s mediocre easy r Ughhh, I am the unpopular opinion on this one but no just no。 This is not worth the hype。 It is not sensational at all。 The romance is cringe and is one of the most common tropes in romance。 There are so many other fake dating books that are done Better than this。 I don’t want to be too harsh because obviously someone put their love and heart into writing this and it’s not that it’s the worst thing ever written, it just doesn’t deserve the level of hype and accolade it gets。 It’s mediocre easy reading romance and that’s it。 I jumped on the hype train with this one but now it’s my turn to get off。 。。。more

This was one of the first believable romances I’ve read in a long time。 The characters and their friendships and relationships were so sweet and realistic。 I also loved how the book called out typical romance and rom-com tropes。 In short, this book was very well done。

Very cute!! I wish there was more smut but I did like imagining the main guy as Adam Driver :D

This was fine。My main gripes:- Olive just wasn't that great - i really do not see the all consuming attraction after the bathroom meeting, and ongoingly her main draw seems to be how she "teases" aka is continuously mean- I hated the (view spoiler)[ at dinner confrontation so much。 SO MUCH。 like there was absolutely no need to go there, and she went above and beyond out of her way to do that。 (hide spoiler)]- Ahn was a pretty annoying friend, and while there was an explanation for her continuou This was fine。My main gripes:- Olive just wasn't that great - i really do not see the all consuming attraction after the bathroom meeting, and ongoingly her main draw seems to be how she "teases" aka is continuously mean- I hated the (view spoiler)[ at dinner confrontation so much。 SO MUCH。 like there was absolutely no need to go there, and she went above and beyond out of her way to do that。 (hide spoiler)]- Ahn was a pretty annoying friend, and while there was an explanation for her continuously forcing PDA, it was pretty weak。- I cannot get over all the professor / grad student dating。 it seems like it would not fly。 upon a quick glance at the stanford rules, this does not check out。 https://harass。stanford。edu/be-inform。。。- the drama seemed to be a pretty big reach。 (view spoiler)[ like even without the audio evidence, seems like you could tell your fake bf who is clearly in love with you what a twat his friend is and it would be no big loss to him。 friends do not need to be protected from their friends being awful。 (hide spoiler)]all that aside, sexy-moody-professor-man was a good leading man。 。。。more

There was some swearing and a fairly detailed sex scene。 Despite that, I liked the book。 It was a slightly intellectual romance novel。

I've met my Adam。 he wasn't in my department but he was a professor。 i was an undergrad。 the banters & interactions were so similar it was like reading my own story。 he was also ~8 years older。 this book reminds me of the good times we shared minus the heartache。 i don't miss him as much, but i still do sometimes。 I am also extremely great at making type II errors in my own love life。 I've met my Adam。 he wasn't in my department but he was a professor。 i was an undergrad。 the banters & interactions were so similar it was like reading my own story。 he was also ~8 years older。 this book reminds me of the good times we shared minus the heartache。 i don't miss him as much, but i still do sometimes。 I am also extremely great at making type II errors in my own love life。 。。。more

4,5/5*Veľká spokojnosť。 Vôbec nepreháňam, keď poviem, že od smiatia ma boleli svaly na tvári。 Len koniec mi prišiel veľmi rýchly。 Nie úplne doriešený。 Takých 30 strán navyše by som ešte brala。 :D

it was very uhm, cringe。 the writing was good it was fun, but it gives so much wattpad vibes。 which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but i definitely threw the book across my room multiple times。 its not generally a bad book, it kept be hooked from start to finish but im just not that big of a fan。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I lovedddd the build to Adam being devoted for so long, the jaw working, his aloof nature and strong sense of moral compass, the chocolate covered granola bar… all of it。 I have some complaints about how ham-fisted the sex scene felt (the constant stuttering and stopping was strange and felt forced, not to mention it legitimately seemed like she was not into the sex itself so it was hard to enjoy that scene as a bystander)。 Overall I loved this though 🥰 Also raging Adam and pissboy Tom gave me l I lovedddd the build to Adam being devoted for so long, the jaw working, his aloof nature and strong sense of moral compass, the chocolate covered granola bar… all of it。 I have some complaints about how ham-fisted the sex scene felt (the constant stuttering and stopping was strange and felt forced, not to mention it legitimately seemed like she was not into the sex itself so it was hard to enjoy that scene as a bystander)。 Overall I loved this though 🥰 Also raging Adam and pissboy Tom gave me life 。。。more
